The Court of General Jurisdiction (Court) Cuba condemned two agricultural companies operating Herdade das Rosas, Vila Ruiva parish – Cuba, a “refrain from initiating the use of agricultural and industrial machinery in moving land, while not requiring them and granted the license request the work”.
In that building is located the Roman Bridge of the Odivelas Ribeira, building classified as a national monument and is identified in the Regulations of Cuba Municipal Master Plan as a protected zone.
The decision was taken last day 14 of September, after the presentation, Last day, an injunction presented by prosecutors (MP) Beja, designed to "curb the use of agricultural and industrial machinery in moving land, without prior authorization and monitoring ".
The complaint reached the MP made by the Regional Directorate of Culture Alentejo (DRCA), since archaeological sites are classified in Master Plan (PDM) and inventory Cuba county's heritage.
This is the third case of agricultural work hanging on land where there are archaeological sites classified, after the day 6 September the MP has submitted, Place the Civil Court of Beja, an injunction against the Agricultural Society Herdade do Ãlamo, located in Union Parish (UF) of Trigaches and are Brissos, in Beja county, which was granted in the past day 14 of September.
In May the Court of General Jurisdiction (Court) Serpa had given the same measure to an agricultural company operating a rustic building in the town of Brinches.
The acceptance of the interim measure requires that all work be suspended until the intervention and opinion of DRCA and if the owners of the agricultural society does not respect the decision, incurs a crime of disobedience.
