Fª Alentejo: EDP worker injured in explosion in post processing.
An EDP worker, of 59 years was seriously injured, Tuesday afternoon, while working in a control cabinet, a transformation Desk (PT), when the accident happened.
The explosion occurred in a transformation Desk (PT) located in the building of the old jail of Ferreira do Alentejo. The victim was to make a repair when the frame burst, causing a fire, whose flames caused severe burns on his face.
The injured was transported to the Emergency Department of Beja Hospital, which is stable, not at risk of death, but it should be transferred to a hospital in Lisbon.
At the site were the Fire Department Ferreira do Alentejo, VMER of the Beja Hospital and GNR, having been thrown the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) to conduct investigations.
