The Final Report of the National Plan for Housing in Higher Education was approved (Fhnaas) and the candidacy of the IPBeja, together with the City Council, is in the middle of the table of approved applications, for the construction of the new student residence.
They were presented 33 applications for the “Construction of New Buildings” in a total of 178 million, and the amount available for this operation is 126 million, estimating PNAES report, approved by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education that “there is financial availability to enter into program contracts with a very significant number of applications”.
According to the PNAES report (Final-Synthesis-Report-1), after the evaluation of 33 applications, the proposal subscribed by the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, together with the City Council, ranked 17th, so it is in a position to be approved.
The National Erasmus+ Education and Training Agency, entity responsible for managing this investment measure, will immediately proceed with the process of discussing and contracting the financing with the promoters of the operations, according to the final ranking proposed by the High Level Independent Panel.
The “Expression of Interests” presented by the IPBeja, in partnership with the Municipality of Beja (CMB), represents an investment of around 15M€ for the construction of a residence with 503 beds in the city of Beja on land provided by the municipality next to the Instituto Campus.
