Seven municipalities in the district of Beja have a less serious situation, in a country with 219 municipalities at extreme risk due to the covid pandemic. Only 89 counties out of a total of 308 are not at extreme risk.

In the list of municipalities with less than 100 cases, one is in Madeira, Saint Vincent, and the other seven in the Azores: Calheta, 31 by 100 thousand – not to be confused with Calheta, Madeira, that has 405 by 100 thousand / inhabitants – Pond, 68, Northeast, 82, São Roque do Pico, 61, Vila do Porto, 53, and Santa Cruz da Graciosa, 48.
According to the epidemiological bulletin released this Monday, 219 of 308 Portuguese municipalities (71,1%) are at extreme risk. They are less 15 in relation to the analysis disclosed to 25 January the municipalities at extreme risk, over 960 cases by 100 thousand. Only 89 counties out of a total of 308 are not at extreme risk.
In the explanatory note to the data by municipality it is stated that the cumulative incidence “corresponds to the quotient between the number of new confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to the time of analysis and the estimated resident population”.
