Next week, there will be thirty-three emergency services working with constraints. Emergency Services at Beja Hospital and Castro Verde Health Centers, Moura and Odemira work fully between 10 and 17 of December.

Thirty-three emergency services across the country will be operating with limitations next week, checking a “real improvement” in specialties with constraints, indicated the Executive Directorate of the National Health Service (DE-SNS), Friday.

According to the new plan to reorganize the SNS emergency services network, for the period between 10 and 17 of December, will be 50 units operating fully (60%), of 83 points across the country, and in the remaining cases there is “a real improvement in specialties with constraints and days with limitations”.

The Alentejo Region has the 12 existing emergency points without constraints and in the Algarve three of the six emergencies will be subject to.

No document (National SU Deliberation 10-17 TEN), the Executive Directorate of the National Health Service recalls that the pressure of respiratory infections, “as a result of its seasonality and the lower temperatures that are occurring, brings new challenges in terms of acute disease”.
