The City Council will organize Vidigueira, on days 7, 8 and 9 April, the “Vidigueira Vinho” event, which aims to promote wines from the municipality’s wine sub-region.
“Vidigueira Wine” will also emphasize other excellent products from the municipality and traditional gastronomy.
The program of this initiative will integrate a Gastronomic Week, conference showcookings, wine tasting, musical shows and exhibition/sale of agri-food products/handicrafts.
With the organization of “VIDIGUEIRA VINHO”, The municipality intends to achieve the following objectives: promote wine from the municipality of Vidigueira, as a tourist product, promoter of economic development; promote the richness of traditional local cuisine.
The event will also emphasize other agro-food products, namely the bread, the confectionery, the oranges and olive oils from the region, important elements of our gastronomy and local economy; promote productive excellence of the territory in the field of wine production; dignify the Alentejo song as a factor in the promotion of Alentejo culture; value/dignify the talha wine and promote/commercialize local crafts.
