Two men, of 23 and 32 year old, were detained by the Judiciary Police (PJ) on suspicion of sexual abuse of several underage girls at an institution in Évora. They drugged and drunk the victims.
A PJ source told the Lusa agency that the suspects were detained, on Wednesday, by elements of the Évora Local Criminal Investigation Unit of the judiciary, with the collaboration of PSP, following an investigation initiated a month and a half ago.
The facts occurred outside the home of the association, in the last two years, advanced the PJ, stating that victims and suspects (who are not affiliated with the institution) kept in contact while on trips.
The same source, the two suspects supplied alcohol and drugs for the underage girls to consume, that left them unable to resist, to carry out the alleged abuses.
The younger girls are in the care of an institution in Évora that provides support to children and young people.
