Zambujeira do Mar: Festival do Polvo, between 18 and 20 of September.
The 3rd edition of the Octopus Festival is scheduled for day 18, 19 and 20 of September, in Zambujeira do Mar, no litoral odemirense. In addition to the culinary component, the festival also offers lots of music and animation. Entries are free.
The best dishes and snacks to octopus base can be proved in 16 restaurants, always with the slogan "Taste here the best octopus in the world". The event will be organized by the Cultural Association, Recreational and Sports Zambujeirense, with the support of the Municipality of Odemira and the collaboration of EPO - Business School Centre and the Southwest Alentejo, S.Teotónio of Parish Council, Fishing Dock - Ports and Auctions, S.A. and Sagres Beer.
Or do Polvo Festival aims to promote gastronomic potentialities as do powder, species very appreciated in the area, e dinamizar a economia local. In 2015 the festival is developed in 16 spaces of the Sea Zambujeira, which will be marked with the indication "Prove here the best World octopus". The octopus-based snacks can be enjoyed in the restaurants' point & Comma ", o “Iâ€, "Mira Mar", “Ritaâ€, "The Martin", "Win", "Noble grocery stores", "Sea Star", “Azul e Marâ€, "Nelmar", “Casino da Ursaâ€, “A Barca – Tranquitanasâ€, "O Sacas", "Golden Sun", "Alentejo Coast" and also in the bar ACDRZ.
The program includes daily showcookings where you can learn how to make octopus in many different ways. Note to the participation of Chef Chakall, on 20 of September, by 17.00 hours.
