An individual with about 35 year old, was sentenced, in legal height, on Friday at the Beja Court the 7 years and 6 months in prison, for two homicide crimes in an attempted manner.
Events date back to August 2012, following a fray, for a futile cause, that took place at the Pedrogão festival grounds, county Vidigueira.
The defendant would not have liked an answer from an element of the parties, waited for him by a container and stabbed him in the neck.
The son, a young man with 20 year old, realizing the situation, he went to the aid of his father, moment when the aggressor stuck a knife in his chest.
The young man was transported to the Beja Hospital “victim of open chest trauma by a bladed weapon”, having subsequently been transferred to the Hospital de São José, in Lisbon, in "very serious" condition, but ended up surviving.
The main defendant, natural from Pedrogão, He was punished with 4 years for stabbing the victim more and 6 year old, for the crime committed against his son and on the legal 7 years and 6 months in prison. He was also ordered to pay two civil damages to victims of 15.000 and 3.374 euros, respectively.
During the reading of the sentence, the President of the Collective of Judges stated that the accused did not assume the acts and did not show any regret ”, adding that the two victims “did not die for reasons beyond their control, because you actually wanted to kill them ”, concluded.
Despite the sentence he was sentenced to and the harsh words of the judges, coercion measures, to remand, have not been altered and will await the release of the prison sentence.
Two other individuals who sat on the dock accused of crimes of physical harm were acquitted.
