The Parliament decides, under paragraph 5 Article 166 of the Constitution, recommend to the Government to take the necessary measures to be initiated within 180 day procedures for the remodeling and expansion of the hospital Beja, namely
Assigning formally to the Board of Directors of the Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes competence to trigger the necessary procedures to the beginning of the remodeling and expansion of the hospital process;
Setting a schedule for the refurbishment and expansion of the Hospital to ensure the opening of the tender within a period of twelve months, taking the total amount of multi-year investment to be made and the respective sources of funding;
Setting the phasing of the construction so that beginning the procedures necessary to launch the venture and licensing project, allowing the carrying out of the respective expenditure;
Mobilizing EU funds for the remodeling and expansion of the hospital;
Creating a public access mechanism for citizens to all the updated information on the procedures for the remodeling and expansion of the hospital, in particular through electronic means.
