U.F. Salvador and Santa Maria: parish news.


Last Friday Rua Sousa Porto was filled, again, to watch the already traditional, parade of marches, organized by this union of parishes.

Were 9 guest marches, joining them the host march, in total 420 dealers: Parishes union Salvador and Santa Maria; Albernoa Popular; Ginjinhas da Salvada; Parish Council of Alvito; CRIRA (Republican Center for Instruction and Recreation Aljustrelense); São Cucufate – Parish Council of Vila de Frades; Vila dos Gamas – Vidigueira; São Vicente – Parish Council of Cuba; Flor de Lis – Nª Senhora das Neves and Chamadarte – Socio Cultural Association.

The march of the Parish Union of Salvador and Santa Maria da Feira was accompanied by the band of the Sociedade Filarmónica Capricho Bejense, the acting being done, exclusively, Live.

This year, the organization has improved aspects it considers important, such as placing an LED Wall so that the images reach a large part of the street, Improved sound projection system, and live broadcast, via social networks, for those who cannot attend the event.

The big innovation was, also, the parade of all marches together, before individual performances, so that the entire audience could glimpse the participating males.

All of this would not have been possible without the support of the following entities, private and private, durante as 2 weeks leading up to the event: Municipality of Beja; Public Security Police; Union of Parishes Salvada and Quintos; Union of the Parishes of Beja São Tiago Maior and S. John the Baptist; CIMAC (Intermunicipal Community of Central Alentejo); Alvito City Council; Paulo Quintino; Company Coimbra and Pereira (offer of fruit for the marchers' dinner); Sports Academy for the choreography of the marches, in the person of teacher Sofia Amieiro; Miguel Ferro (Sound and image); Desportivo de Beja for holding the bar; Band of the Capricho Bejense Philharmonic Society; The godparents Mafalda Vasques and Carlos Filipe; To all marchers of our Union of Parishes; Guest Marches and Parish Council Employees.

There were several months of preparation, 2 weeks of tireless work by everyone involved, who turned night into day 23, a special night for the parish, and to the city.

The Union of Parishes of Salvador and Santa Maria da Feira promises to return with the parade of marches in 2024, and soon will give news.

The Parish maintenance teams will, during this week, proceed with the cleaning and collection of monos in all moloks and container stations, of the neighborhoods and streets of the parish, clean up the Conceição neighborhood, neighborhood of Moinhos, urbanization of Santa Maria, Quinta D'el Rey, neighborhood of Pelame, Carmo Hill and Esperança neighborhood.

The parish council of the union of the parishes of Beja Salvador and Santa Maria da Feira is scheduled for Thursday, day 29 June, clearing weeds using brushcutters, on Rua da Lavoura.
